Here we are at the 2005 EAA-23 fly-in at
Wendover Airport, Nevada.  Across from
the casinos, and not far from the
Bonneville Salt Flats, it is a large airport
used during WWII for preparing the B-29
to drop the first atomic bombs.  We each
flew a Tornado out there for the fly-in that
day.  As usual, the Tornado really draws
people in as it did early that day.  We had
to wait a while before we could get a few
photos.
It looks like Mark is at it again -- lending
a hand by phone to a customer during
the construction of our 2S.  We're
always happy to chat with fellow
Titaneers.  Mark has a long history of
building and racing drag cars up to the
Pro-Stock category.  Add to that RC
planes, and he was ready for the next
step, which was flying from the inside of
what he was building.
Ah, hah!  Here's me -- Kimberly, showing
off the new base color paint on our last
Tornado project, which we purchased as
a paint and interior refurb and originally
planned to use as a UL trainer.  My first
job was a machinist with many years of
building and racing drag cars as well with
my father, on my own, and then later with
Mark.  Along with RC planes and
aerobatic helicopters, I too decided it was
time to fly from the inside of the cockpit.
