The Tornado 2 is also a top performance
machine. With the aileron geometry different
than the S or SS, it is even more crisp on the
ailerons, yet still not over-sensitive. Also, the
CG is slightly more aft on the main gear, so it
rotates more quickly than the larger Tornados.
This Tornado is shown with a Rotax 618 (75
HP), which was later upgraded to the Jabiru
2200. With the 4-stroke economy and the
higher horsepower, it is now a cross-country
machine and very fun to fly.
The Tornado 2 can also be fitted with the belly
cargo pod to carry belongings for several days
travel. Also, the optional wheel pants and gear
leg fairings can be added for a sporty look.
This aircraft also has the 'Panos Pumper'
installed.
